ABOUT NVL EGYPT

NVL Egypt is an associated company of NVL. NVL is an independent, privately owned group of northern German shipyards and related companies, formerly known as Lürssen Defence. The group is headquartered in Bremen, Germany, and has a strong heritage. Together, the shipyards of NVL have completed more than 1,000 naval and coastguard vessels since their beginnings in the late 1870s, and have built and repaired ships for both the German Navy and fleets in over 50 countries.

In addition to designing and manufacturing naval vessels and coastguard vessels, NVL provides extensive lifetime support through NVL Services. NVL’s reputation for high quality stems from long-standing shipbuilding expertise, outstanding engineering skills, a carefully selected supplier network and the commitment devoted to each and every ship.

In 2022, NVL Egypt was founded as a joint venture between NVL, Abou Quir and Magnom Industries. The company supports the Government of Egypt in building and maintaining its national shipbuilding strategy and strives to be a pioneer of innovative solutions while ensuring high quality and affordability.  It was established to form the basis for a strategic partnership with the Egypt Navy regarding shipbuilding and associated full service support to include preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts, technical assistance, infrastructure support and training. In addition, the company functions as subject matter expert for the Egypt Naval Force regarding marine shipbuilding and service support.

We operate from our offices in Egypt’s vivid coastal city of Alexandria and in Cairo, focusing on coordinating the PV43-M programme with our sister company NVL d.o.o. in Croatia and our local partners in Egypt and strengthening the ties between the Egypt Naval Forces and us.
